Gifts for Horse Lovers

Water horses, unicorns and the Mari Lwyd

Gifts for horse lovers with a touch of myth. Welsh folklore is full of horses: the Ceffyl Dŵr, the water horse of lakes and rivers that becomes the teal Mythôn beast of the Menai Strait; the Mari Lwyd, the grey mare who knocks at the door at New Year; and Rhiannon riding her white horse in the Mabinogi. Scotland adds kelpies, and everyone loves a unicorn.

Every design is created by David on Ynys Môn and printed to order in the UK, and each one links to the legend behind it. Choose a T-shirt or hoodie, or something for the home. For more, see our unicorns and sea creatures collections, and our Mane Event slogans for the yard. A gift voucher lets them choose their own.

Frequently asked questions

Where are these gifts made?

Every design is created by David at Môn Sublime Ink on Ynys Môn (Anglesey), North Wales, and each piece is printed to order in the UK — so nothing sits in a warehouse waiting.

When should I order for Christmas?

Order by 10 December for delivery before Christmas. 12 December is the final order date — from 13 December only the Mythôn tin game and gift vouchers can be ordered, and everything reopens on 27 December. A gift voucher can be sent at any time.

What is the Ceffyl Dŵr?

The Ceffyl Dŵr is the water horse of Welsh folklore. Read its legend in our lore library, or walk the Swellies route on the Menai Strait where our Mythôn water horse lives.

What if I'm not sure what they'd like?

A Môn Sublime Ink gift voucher lets them choose their own design. You can buy one on our gift voucher page or send one by email on a date you choose.
